30 day clothing challenge

Hey everyone!

I was inspired by this lovely blog I found this morning to do a 30 day challenge. http://www.sidewalkchic.com/2010/12/all-together-now-outfits-1-30.html

Lets see how I do!  You are supposed to choose 30 peices of clothing that you will wear mixed and matched for 30 or more days. I am not sure I can do it for more than 30 days. But its a way to use your clothing that you have and not buy or thrift more clothing! It will be good for me though, as I tend to not be crazy with my clothing and wear boring outfits that are not interesting. This way I can mix some fun colors and combos of clothing together. My first outfit is below, a yellow dress my sister made for me years ago that I never wore, until now! I add the lace to the bottom and some more yellow fabric as the dress turned out shorter than I wanted. Now its lovely! I love wearing it! I will be wearing on our vacation this weekend most definately!
My closet below after I redid it the last few days. I reorganized and now I can find everything! I got rid of a lot of stuff, not clothing, just stuff that I never use. So that really helped to see all the clothing I have and use it and now easily accessible. Praise God!
The lace hem that I did this morning. I adore it! Its vintage lace too! The pattern my sister used for the dress was from the 60's or 70's I believe and the dress is made of linen. Its quite comfy and I love the adorable fresh style of it! Its definately in my 30 items I will be wearing this month. Pictures coming soon of all my items that I will be using soon after our vacation.

In Christ,
Rebecca

Adorable, Rebecca! I love the yellow dress and the lace hem fits to it perfectly! I am interested in seeing your other clothing combinations for your 30 day challenge!

The dress is very cute, I love the lace. I'm sure I normally wear less than 30 items anyway. I've always been one for boring outfits with interesting accessories.

I love your remake of the yellow dress. I did the same once with a navy skirt which also turned out very pretty.

thanks all! I love the dress as well and wore it again, but forgot to get a picture on my vacation.

Stephanie you sound just like my sister, she owns less than 30 items and has no problem doing this challenge, but does not want to do it with me. She is so frugal compared to me! I just love clothing and buy too much of it! so for this month no clothing for me that is new or thrifted! :(
