Psalm 63:1-8
"O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
when I remember you upon my bed,
and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
for you have been my help,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
when I remember you upon my bed,
and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
for you have been my help,
and in your shadow of your wings I will sing for joy!!
My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me! "
your right hand upholds me! "
I have been thinking about how the Lord has feed me spiritually in hard times and good times, how He has made me joyful, singing for joy the past few days for being in Him. One song has stuck out to me Abide in Me! I want to abide in my Savior and I want to help show others how the Lord can be like their food and be their help. I want to be a witness where I am for the Lord now.
Its funny! The next part of the poem really is about being joyful and being glad in the Lord! Which is what I have been reading about in my Bible study and in the book I just finished yesterday called "Don't Waste Your Life" by John Piper. I have seen a theme from the Lord, saying don't just be luke warm, live for me and know that I will provide, and tell others of the hope that is in you.

" Just to ask Him what to do
All the day,
And to make you quick and true
to obey.
Just to know the needed grace
He bestoweth,
Every bar of time and place
Overfloweth.
Just to take the orders straight
From the Master's own command.
Blessed day! when thus we wait
Always at our Sovereign's hand.
Just to recollect his love,
Always true;
Always shining from above,
Always new.
Just to recognize its light;
All-enfolding.
Just to claim its present might;
All-upholding.
Just to know it as thine own,
Is not this enough alone
For the glaness of the day?"
All the day,
And to make you quick and true
to obey.
Just to know the needed grace
He bestoweth,
Every bar of time and place
Overfloweth.

You have been awarded at my blog!
What can I say? Your posts always leave me ready and feeling privileged to serve my Master, joyfully! It was nice seeing you today, dearie. God bless!
Becca, you have given me a great gift! I kept your playlist on whilst I did other various and sundry things, and I found out that Selah (one of my favorite groups) sings Before the Throne of God Above (one of my favorite songs)! Thank you!!!
Jenn I am so glad that these 2 posts have encouraged you and the Lord has used them. The past 2 days have been bright and dark ones for me spiritually. So these really have helped me too. I will be doing more heart felt posts, as I have not sewing projects or events to post about. I have actually kept myself away from the computer since early this morning and I have really learned so much. Its a blessing to me to have this blog, but at the same time can be a time waster. I am learning to balance with the Lords help. I was so glad to see you today! miss you girly! much love!
Oh and thank you Atlanta! I will have to do that tag tomorrow.
