My first time shooting a gun!

My sister above shooting for the first time! My dad is behind her wearing his new night cap that we gave him for christmas for civil war reenacting. :) He wears it outside a lot for modern wear obviously! I quite like it!
Here is myself shooting too.

My father, mother, sister, and I went to some friend's home for the day and we had a blast shooting real 22 rifles for the first time. Bethany(my sister) and I had never used a gun before and my dad wanted to teach us how. Here are some pictures from our adventure. The 22 rifles had no kick at all to them when you shoot, but they were very heavy! I could only do about 8 rounds and then I had to have a rest for my arms! :)
Well I thought I would share this fun experience with you all! I think my sister and I will be going to range with our dad more often!
In Christ,
Rebecca

Haha! That is awesome! Our dad always wanted to take my sister and I out shooting, but it has never happened. We don't live in a beautiful area where you can just go out in the woods. we would have to go to a shooting range.

How fun for you guys! Was it in any way scary? Shooting a gun seems scary to me.

Ashley yes shooting is fun!

Silent Librarian, yes I was scared about shooting, I was more scared about shooting somebody! But I was careful and I was also scared of making a fool of myself and not even shooting the target! lol But I did shoot pretty close to the middle of the target a few times! :) It is fun once you know how to operate the gun! Yes we live in the city and our friends live about an hour from us in the "country", so we were able to shoot on their property, they have 15 acres. My house is on a 1/4 of an acre! We love their place!

22's are heavy. I like shooting at my grandparents in Kentucky. The have a wrap around porch and the back porch is two stories of the ground. We pin targets on the fece behind the porch and can rest the rifles on the porch railing. My paw paw's pistol is even more fun. I haven't shot in awhile, maybe Greg and I should pull out our bb's soon. :-)
