Fashion week day 7 last day! :( and Our new tent

Well on saturday it was the last day of fashion week and I am sad! But it was great fun and I was happy to be able to see all my fellow bloggers posting about their thrifted and used finds!

I wore this for half of sunday, saturday I was painting and doing other odd jobs with my family, so it was jeans and a t-shirt day. But here is my sunday outfit after church, I wore the same thing I wore friday for easter sunday.
Here is my outfit and the skirt was a thrift store find as well as the blouse, my tank top is from old navy. A fun and simple outfit!

And a birthday suprise! On saturday my sister and I scrubbed our used a-frame tent that is for civil war reenacting and we put it up all day saturday to dry after being cleaned. So that evening we watched persuasion and slept in our new tent! It was a great fun and it was my little birthday celebration, as my birthday is tomorrow. I am going to be 19!!!!!!! AHHHHH! Well since spring break is over we are swamped with school work and other tasks, so we cannot go to D.C. to see the museums like I wanted on my birthday, but we want to go friday instead.
So there is our home away from home, which will make its first debu at Bonnets and Bayonets in two weeks. There website is on my side bar in my favorite websites. Do check it out!

God bless and have a great week!

In Christ,
Rebecca

What fun! I wish I could be there for your birthday. :)

You will have a letter coming in the mail sometime this week for your birthday, so keep an eye out for it! :D I also have some exciting news to tell you, that involves the Confederacy and me wearing my Civil War outfit. I'll send you an email soon! =)

That is so fun! Sleeping out in your tents! I haven't done that since I was a little girl. Your set up in there looks very old-fashioned. How blessed for you to be part of reinactments so you know how they lived back in the day! My sister and I desire such things, but we live in the city and so it is not really ideal for camping outside. We have been going on camping trips up north which have been great fun, though.

Anyway, Happy early Birthday! Or more precisely, Happy Unbirthday! ;-) Going to DC to the museums sounds amazing. What sort of artwork do they have there?

Well, I have enjoyed looking at your pictures for your fashion week! I look forward to when you do it again! ;-)

Danielle we live in the city too! We just happen to have at least a quarter of an acre, so our neighbors probably thought we were crazy! They can see our yard. :) Oh well!

But yes we strive for the correct tables, quilts, dishes, etc. for use at all reenactments! So we thought we would set of for practice for our next event, which is in two weeks! We even had our own mugs and pitcher for water, but we did use my sisters laptop to watch persuasion on while in the tent. Computers are great! :)

Well we wanted to go and see actually antique clothing and other antiques in a new exhibit in the national history museum and we wanted to go and see the Declaration of Independance ann another documents we have been studying in our educations. We also wanted to see civil war and regency dresses particulary at the history museum. I hope we can go and I will post pictures when we do! :)
